Sufi dance, sufi trance...

In the shrine of Sufi Saint Baba Shah Jamal in Lahore (Pakistan) there are live music performances and free food every Thursday, an ancient tradition thas has been going on for hundreds of years. During the night the pilgrims play and dance in a deep state of trance also known ad 'dhamaal'.

The site is well known in Pakistan and abroad among the sufi and spiritual seekers in general for providing shelter, food and solace to pilgrims, devotees and needy people.

In the Stephen Pook's video the images of people dancing in a dance-induced MSC (Modified State of Consciousness) are very well mixed with the music of The Good, The Bad and the Queen rock band, made up of Damon Albarn (ex Blur and Gorillaz), Paul Simonon (ex Clash), Simon Tong (ex Verve) and Tony Allen (ex Fela Kuti).
