I saw Joe Cocker (1944-2014) performing live in the early 1970s. I remember that at a certain point of the concert the current went off for a minute or two but the good Joe continued to sing without microphone and supporrt band: it was incredible, his voice roared in an impressive way all over the football (soccer) stadium, giving a further, stunning example of the unusual power of his singing.
