Few moments ago I got the sad news of Lemmy's death. Lemmy (Ian Fraser Kilminster) was born in Stoke-on-Trent (UK) in 1945. He was a bassist, singer and songwriter.
He founded the "Motorhead" band in 1975, giving an important input to the 'heavy metal' genre. Lemmy and his legendary band realized many albums and acted live until very recent times.Even though "heavy metal" has never particularly been my cup of tea, I had the chance to see the Motorhead performing live back in the late 1970s and it was a powerful and involving concert and Lemmy a force of nature for sure....
Tribute due to another rock legend who has reached the Olympus.....Rip bro
