Absolutely self-destructive and definitely charismatic, Nico (1938-1988) is one of the few real 'maudit' queens of (decadent)rock and an icon of counterculture and fashion. A model, actress, singer and musician and one of the muses of Andy Warhol's Factory, she has been Lou Reed's lover and the "alchemical wife" of Jim Morrison. The legendary "Velvet Underground & Nico" album (1967) has made her name immortal.
This documentary tells Nico's history from the beginning in Cologne (Germany) to the Warhol/Velvet period, her solo career, addiction and premature death in Ibiza.
Nico (Christa Päffgen)
