In these scary times of war and terror it's good to remember that sufism (and devotional qawwali musical tradition), an ancient, peaceful and ecstatic way of spiritual self-realization within the Muslim tradition, is still alive and well. I hope this is the version of the Islam which will finally prevail, not the distorted, nihilistic interpretations that obscurantist occult forces try to impose for (geo)political reasons and few fanatical, naive and/or desperate people adopt, spreading death and destruction.
