Drug Use for Grown-Ups
At this point, every honest, not biased and well informed person knows that the so-called "War on Drugs" has miserably failed: drugs are ever more pervasive and out of control and many people's life has been ruined for no effective reason. In his new book, Drug Use for Grown-Up People, Dr. Carl L. Hart (psychologist and neuroscientist, professor of psychology at the Columbia University, NY and drugs user), strongly breaks down all the well rooted biases and taboos which, thanks to corrupt and/or inept politicians and embedded media worldwide, keep the criminal (and crime fueling) regime of drug prohibition. Based on scientific and sociological evidences and personal experiences, the book is a courageous declaration of war against the usual cliches and prejudices about drugs and drugs use and opens to the real possibility of a safe (sometimes even beneficial) use of psychoactive substances by responsible, law-abiding, grown-up citizens. Informative, well researched and corageously provocative, this book is like a stone thrown in the muddy stagnant waters of current irrational laws and retrite common senses born decades ago thanks to a bunch of racist rascals, control junkies and power greedy profiteers. As Dr. Hart states, if wisely used, all drugs can become again an acceptable behavior in the "pursuit of happines". A strongly recommended reading for all the interested people.
