Friday 8 March 2024

Today is Shivaratri, the day in which devotees of God celebrate Lord Shiva, one of the most auspicious and compassionate form of the divinity, in the eternal tradition of Sanatan Dharma (sometimes called "Hinduism').  During the day devotees usually meditate, keep quiet and silent and fast waiting for the night (Shivaratri means "the night of Shiva), when they go to streets and temples and congregate for chanting, dancing, share sacred food and possibly drink "bhang", a mixture of water, milk, spices and cannabis.
May Lord Shiva bless us all and help us to live in this perilious material world in a safe, happy and conscious way....Om namah Shivaya!
