Banning Extreme Sports ??

Following the same logic that rigidly ban  psychedelic drugs  for their possible advert effects, governments should coherently ban also risky extreme sports like skydiving, bunjee jumping, mountaineering or even horseriding.
So thhe good people at Psychedelic Society have thought to send a petition to the English minister of sport, asking for more stringent and severe measures against dangerous sports....
Obviously is a satirical initiative, but you can actually sign the petition here.... Drug prohibitionism is slowly crumbling in the Western world and this petition might be just another little jolt to the sleeping consciousness of too many politicians....

Growing Old with Style and Automedicating....

Medical cannabis is ever more becoming an international reality, but while in many countries  the patients are still in trouble getting their medicine (due to criminal, obsolete and irrational laws) in some places like Colorado, Uruguay or Israel the cannabis therapy is perfectly legal and its healing effects amply recognized by doctors and patients.....See here what's currently happening in California, with many elder people using the healing herb with very good results....

LSD kills? Yes, if they put you in jail for life....

On December 16, 2014, deadhead, father and artist Roderick "Rudd" Walker died in prison at the age of 42 for cardiac arrest. In 2005, even though he was never found to possess LSD  and just on the testimony of undercover federal agents and defendants trying to reduce their own prison terms, he was sentenced to life imprisonment without any possibility of parole (because of two prior convictions on his record.)
Rudd's shocking harsh sentence and lack of proper medical assistance in prison, eventually killed him.

To read about more people serving long or life sentences in prison for non-violent drug offenses and sign petition calling on President Obama, the Department of Justice and state governors to grant clemency to these men and women, visit the Clemency Project at Change.org

Nick Sand, Psychedelic (Al)Chemist

Nick Sand (b. 1941) has been an underground psychedelic chemist from 1966-1996. During the sixties he was the chief chemist of Tim Leary's League for Spiritual Discovery , the main source of  LSD (in particular Orange Sunshine) for the Brotherhood of Eternal Love and is considered the first underground chemist to have synthesized DMT.  In 1976 he was sentenced to 15 years in a federal penitentiary, then he was released on $ 50.000 bail and went underground and remained a fugitive for decades, continuing his mission of synthesizing psychedelic "sacraments." He was arrested again in 1996 in Canada and served time in prison through 2001.
Nick is a thoughtful and spiritual person and a beloved and respected member of the international psychedelic community.

Daevid Allen rip

Daevid Allen,  legendary psychedelic rock musician and poet, founding member of  Soft Machine and Gong has passed away yesterday at 77. In February, Daevid stated that  his time had come: he only had six months to live and to begin "starting the process of letting go of me, of mourning then transforming and celebrating this death coming up"....
I was lucky enough to see Daevid and Gong performing live at Melkweg in Amsterdam, 1974. It was one of the best "mind-manifesting" concerts of my life and I'll keep that sweet and powerful memory forever....Rest in peace brother...

The Visionary Art of El Gato Chimney

El Gato Chimney was born in 1981 in Milan, where he currently lives and works.
He started his career as a self taught artist, developing an early interest in graffiti that made him pursue a successful journey into street art.
As the years went by, thanks to the acquisition of new knowledge and the need to continuously improve his technical skills, the artist began to prefer to work in his studio, dedicating his time to an introspective research to depict immaterial things, such as emotions and inner visions.....
