Mad Dogs & Englishmen

Recently I saw again "Mad Dogs & Englishmen" (1971) after decades. Evidently due to my foggy memories of those times, I didn't remember that the legendary documentary film of Joe Cocker's American tour in 1970 was so exciting, cool and well directed by Pierre Adidge.... The 'behind the scenes' parts perfectly highlight the mood and good vibes of brotherhood among friends, artists and like-minded people that unified, for just a few years,  a considerable part of the young generation of those glory days and the live performances of the band are.....well...absolutely great and a must see for all true rock lovers.....

Pihkal & Tihkal e-version and other delights

Alexander "Sasha" Shulgin, the most prolific psychedelic chemist of all times (1925 - 2014), and his wife Ann, a lay psychedelic therapist, published PIHKAL in 1991. Half an autobiographical love story and half a recipe book of psychoactive molecules of the phenetylamine family ( like mescaline, MDMA or 2.cb), PIHKALwas a true groundbreaking publication that gave inspiration and courage to other authors and started the fluorishing of  books  and encyclopediae that have been published since then in the field of psychedelics.
In 1997, they published TIHKAL, with several personal  anecdotes, the story of the "home invasion" by the DEA and the "chemical section"  dedicated to the tryptamines like LSD, DMT or psilocibin.
Personally I consider these two books some of the most beautiful and inspiring readings of my life and I strongly recommend them to all the people interested - for wathever reason - in the field.
Now you can purchase these inestimable books also in e-book format. Please visit Transform Press for details. And learn about the forthcoming collector's edition of PIHKAL and TIHKAL and other books available.here
