Pooch Island

Without doubt, one of the more talented artists in the so called pop-surrealism and low-brow art is the (Florida based) Michael 'Pooch' Pucciarelli. Inspired by H. P. Lovecraft, Walt Disney, M.C. Escher, Dali, H.R. Giger, Flemish artists like Bosch or Van Eyk and obviously pop-surrealists outsiders like Todd Schorr and Robert Williams, Pooch has an uncommon taste for the details and a breath-taking technique that you can well see on his astounding site There you can get several beautiful examples of Pooch's art, give a look to his fascinating scrapbook, see samples of his tattoo art (he is also the owner of the Altered State Tattoo studio, in West Palm Beach, Florida) and even a 'documentary' that tells the story of the Pooch Island amusement park...Strongly recommended...
