Marcus Keef was the brilliant author of some of the most astounding album covers in the '70s and the chief artist of Vertigo, Neon and Nepetha music labels. Here we can see the unforgettable covers of Colosseum's Valentyne Suite (1969), Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath (1970), Dulcimer's And I Turned as I Turned as a Boy (19719) Nirvana's (obviously NOT those Nirvana!) Local Anaesthetic (1971) and Sandy Denny's The North Star Grassman and the Ravens (1971). Unfortunately I couldn't find any further infos about him on the Web (if you do, please send me a message), nonetheless I thought to pay him a little tribute on the blog.
(thanks Maurizio!)
