The great French artist Jean Giraud (aka Moebius) died yesterday in Paris at 73 after a long battle with cancer. He was one of the most influential comic artists of the '70s and '80s.
Moebius was among the founding fathers of the legendary comic magazine Metal Hurlant (Heavy Metal) and author of the western Blueberry and cosmic 'sci-fi' masterpieces like Arzach and L'Incal (in collaboration with Alejandro Yodorowski).
He also contributed to several science fiction films like Alien by Ridley Scott and Tron by Disney.
R.i.P. Moebius and thanks for the mind trips and eye candies....
