Kirtan in London Town.....

Generally speaking I don't like 'churches' and religions with all their 'dogmas' and biases  and I'm not at ease with strict 'moral' rules and precepts. The Hare Krishna movement - with its rules against 'illicit sex' or 'intoxicants' (even coffee or tea...) and  my- god- is- better- than- yours attitude -  is simply not for me; moreover their continuous attempts of proselytism are often annoying ....All that said, Hare Krishna devotees are surely great when they sing (and cook...)
See here a joyous 'parade' of Hare Krishna through the streets of London and all the happy interactions with different kinds of people....
I strongly believe in the deep, positive effects of mantra and kirtan (singing of mantra and 'holy names'): they are powerful tools to easily achieve ecstasy and profound meditative states of consciousness and - as you can see - even light a little spark of devotion, or simply happiness, in the 'audience'.......
