Dhuni: The Sacred Fire

Dhuni, is the sacred fire pit in the Vedic tradition. The fire is ritually fed with rice, fruits, flowers, incenses and other ingredients and is a living, always transforming centre of energy (shakti) and communion with the Divine, a mesmerizing portal to subtler dimensions and deep states of consciousness. Around the dhuni, devotees silently meditate and joyfully chant devotional songs (kirtan) (and within certain hindu spiritual tradition and "schools",  ritually smoke ganja (cannabis flowers) or charas (cannabis resin.)
