Ganesha Sharanam

Wednesday is the day consacrated to Ganesh, in accordance with the Sanatan Dharma ("Hinduism"). Remover of the obstacles and God of wisdom, art and sciences, the elephant -shaped son of Shiva and Parvati   is worshipped and invoked for protection and blessing before rituals, travels and beginnings.
One of the mantras used to please this aspect of the Divinity is the Ganesh Gayatri Mantra:

Om Ekadantaya Vidmahe
Vakratundaya Dhimahi
Tanno Danti Prachodayat
(x 3)
We pray to the one with the single-tusked elephant tooth who is omnipresent
We meditate upon and pray for greater intellect
to the Lord with the curved elephant-shaped trunk
We bow before the one with the single-tusked elephant tooth to illuminate our minds with wisdom
